But if you are looking for some specific suggestions.....
Three beaches lie within a kilometre of the resort including Dionisio Point Provincial Park, or what locals call "Coon Bay". Bring your camera -in addition to the sandy beach and tidal pools, you'll find strange and beautiful sandstone formations.
The spa at the Galiano Inn is right next to the ferry terminal and has a full range of services.
Bodega Ridge Trail
A great trail run or hike!
The trail follows the ridge top from southern the trailhead at the end of Cottage Way north to another trailhead on Manastee Road near the Bodega Ridge resort, a total distance of about 8km. The best way to do this hike is to do a quick out and back hike from the Cottage way trailhead. After a short stretch of hiking in the trees for about half a kilometer you’ll emerge at the cliff edge with panoramic views to the west across to Wallace Island, Saltspring Island and the mountains of Vancouver Island.
All of the Gulf Islands are a road cyclists dream: good pavement, little traffic and lots of good views. Cycling this long an narrow island is about 25kms from end to end.
Bring your SUPs, kayaks or canoes and launch from just about anywhere. Montague Harbour Marina, just down the road from Bodgea Ridge, is a great spot for this! You can easily rent equipment if you don't already have your own.
Galiano features a unique and challenging 9 hole Golf Course just a 20 minute drive from Bodega.
This in no way compares to North Shore riding but there are a few trails at the South end of the island. Check out Trailforks for more info:
